The Faces of Shreewoods Volleyball 🏐
Every weekend the court at Dhanori fills with the same familiar faces — the neighbour who never misses a Sunday, the teenager with the thunderous jump-serve, the veteran who reads the game two moves ahead. No jerseys, no sponsors, no scoreboard drama — just friends and neighbours who turn up, pick teams and play their hearts out. Here is the roster of regulars our cameras have caught on court — each one drawn as a friendly cartoon portrait.
Know these faces? We are still putting names to them — if you recognise yourself or a teammate, tell us in the WhatsApp group and we will add the name. See you on court this weekend! 🏐

#10 Player 111dEvery weekend our cameras roll on the Dhanori court. Afterwards, AI face-detection (YuNet) and face-recognition (SFace) sift through the whole match — the rallies and the quiet moments between points — and group the same person across all their appearances, so each regular becomes one identity, automatically, with no manual tagging. A player only joins the roster once we’ve seen them on court enough times to be sure they’re a regular (not a passer-by).
The court camera is wide, so real faces come out small and grainy — so instead of posting blurry photos, we turn each player’s features into a clean, friendly illustrated cartoon avatar. It’s a drawing, not a photo — nicer to look at, and privacy-friendly. Recognise yourself or a teammate? Tell us in the WhatsApp group and we’ll put a name to the face. 🏐
